Our Cat Sanctuary
For those of you who may not be familiar with the concept of a Cat Café, we thought it would be a good idea to sum up exactly what you can expect....
It’s a place where you can visit to relax, catch up with friends, take an hour or more away from your busy day to enjoy hot or cold drinks and delicious food all whilst being in the company of our beautiful calming rescue cats...….. It's as simple as that!
At the heart of everything we do is our beloved cats. Our mission is to provide our cats with a safe, warm and loving home allowing you wonderful cat lovers to enjoy all the fun and affection they provide.
We have some rules in place which help ensure the cats are happy at all times and we ask that all visitors read these on our "Visiting Us" page and familiarise yourself with them before attending your booking.
We do recommend to book to avoid disappointment. Bookings are for an 1 hour slot or an 2 hour Afternoon Tea slot and there is a standard cat cover charge of £6.00pp per hour or for Afternoon Teas the cost is £30.00pp
At Paws For Thought Cat Café, we have 4 separate seating areas providing different experiences for you to enjoy whilst surrounded by a playground of fun and adventure for our mischievous cats to explore and play. We even have an outdoor area for the cats to enjoy alternative interaction and fresh air along with seating during the warmer months for you to soak up the sun, with an ice-cream and watch the cats jump and climb. Everything within in the Paws For Thought Cat Café has been created with our cat’s welfare and needs in mind, whilst also ensuring a great experience for you.
We welcome everyone with a friendly, warming & relaxing atmosphere and hope to bring cat (and cake) lovers for all over to bring our community together.
We can only allow children over 6 years into the café and children are to be accompanied by an adult at all times during your visit. We must stress that this is a calming and relaxing environment and so we ask for you to talk through the rules with your children before attending the café.
We offer general support on pet bereavement, advice on the process of adopting rescue cats, and information on their health and welfare. We also pride ourselves on having completed a cat psychology course, focused on behaviour, to offer advice on any concerns or general queries you may have about your own cats.
We also want to support the community holding regular events to raise awareness and donations for local rescue centres with events such as Quiz Evenings, Cat Bingo, Clairvoyance evenings, Games evenings and many more! Who doesn’t like a little bingo?!
We also act as a rescue ourselves and have helped home many cats since opening our doors in October 2018. Take a look at our 'Cat Rescue' page to see the cats we've helped and to find out just how far your £6.00 goes towards helping us do this.
We hope you now have a good understanding of what our café is all about and what Paws for Thought Cat Café has offer. So come on over and see how great a bit of cat therapy can be! Thank You!

We welcome you to share your stories and photos of your loved kitties for everyone to read and see. We have a wall dedicated for these wonderful memories along with my most wonderful cat Louis. So join me by having your pictures on the remembrance wall for everyone to see!
